E-mails
We
send out a weekly e-mail - This Week at The Grand
Onion - to let people know what Trevor is cooking
for entrées, what new items have arrived, what we
have restocked on. We have over 1,400 people on our list
and constantly get feedback on how fun and informative it
is to read. We also send a short email on Mondays
listing our soups and entrées for
the week.
To
join the distribution list for either the Monday list of
what's being cooked during the week, or the mid-week full
page email with information about new arrivals, etc. , contact
us. Some recent mid-week emails are below.

Feedback
on our weekly email:
"You
make our mouths water. We can hardly wait to return to
the North Country in the summer to partake of all the goodies.
With all the fancy gourmet food stores we have here in the
Washington, DC metropolitan area, none of them offer all
the wonderful and accessible items that you do with your
small store. Keep up all the good work."
"I
sure wish you could fax some blue cheese soup, also the
quiche, to us in Iowa City! I'm not sure why I torture
myself by subscribing to your newsletter from afar....."
"
Many thanks for caring for your patrons as you do!
It's clear that you are sincere in your efforts to encourage
us to savor the tastes of a myriad of wonderful foods !!
Keep up the good work!!"
"[I
am] totally blown away by the scope and breath and brilliance
of your gustatory prose......and to know that it backed
up by superb preparation is simply awesome.... How I wish
I were naturally thin or had a bit of restraint. Thanks
for the weekly letter it is much appreciated"
"The
newsletter is fabulous. I can taste and feel the food through
your descriptions, and it is just an enjoyable read. What
a good job you do."
"The
newsletter gets read with great interest and hunger every
week here in the staff room of the Swarthmore Public Library.
"
"Thank
you for including white sauces/recipes in this newsletter.
My mother used to make white sauces when I was a child,
and I'd forgotten how easy ( and good! ) they are! You've
motivated me to get in the kitchen!"
